Ahir Mitra | 01/01/1970

.The Supreme Court has evaluated the validity of the sedition legislation under section 124A of the Indian Penal Code and the basic right to free expression under Article 19 of the constitution for the first time in the country's history. While this provision of the IPC deals with judicial history, the court had to deal with a clear conflict with Section 124A, which dealt with the same problem.
