COMPOSITION OF ARBITRAL TRIBUNAL
Team SoOLEGAL | 01/01/1970

An Arbitral Tribunal is designated for the purpose of resolving arbitration cases. It usually consists of a panel of one, or two or more adjudicators. These adjudicators are called Arbitrators.

The parties to a dispute who wish to resolve their dispute by way of arbitration, are free to determine the number of composition of the panel. But problems may arise when there are conflicting views as to choosing the Arbitrators.

Arbitration is an out of Court settlement which seeks to provide amicable solutions to the parties. This process is more advantageous when it comes to maintains or improving relations (when the parties wish to continue even after dispute resolution). Thus, Arbitration proves to be a dispute resolution mechanism  which is way better than the in-Court settlements.
