New Delhi:Reacting angrily to an affidavit filed by Centre on a PIL on solid waste management,SC bench comprising justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta, strongly criticised the govt, telling the govt advocate Wasim A Qadri ,that it will not accept the 864 page long ,bulky affidavit filed by it.The justices used strong words and told the advocate that “don’t treat us as garbage collectors.”

The bench had asked for affidavit in chart form ,which could make it easier for it to understand. The bench has asked centre to provide details of all states and UT’s which have formed state advisory boards as per the norms of Solid Waste Management Rules,2016.

It has also asked the Centre  to provide in a chart form the dates of the constitution of advisory  boards, names of the members of the board and the number of meetings undertaken by them.

Advocate for the centre said that information has been provided in a 845 page affidavit, but the court refused to accept it.
