I flagged in particular, which I had said earlier also, it does not take rocket science to locate a message being circulated in hundreds and thousands... you must have a mechanism to find a solution,” Ravi Shankar Prasad said adding that Whatsapp may possibly face abetment charges if no action is taken.

WhatsApp, which has been in talks with the Indian government after being issued notices by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to work out a more effective solution to deal with fake news, has assured that it is working towards complying with all these needs, Prasad said.
