An incident of firing has been reported from New Delhi's Rohini District Court. One person is reported dead in the firing, as per Times of India.

An undertrial was shot dead by unidentified men near the Rohini court canteen. Delhi Police have apprehended one of the shooters in the case.

The undertrial has been identified as Vinod, resident of E Block Mangol Puri. He was fired upon by his gang member, Abdul.

The incident was reported around 11.30 AM when the undertrial was being taken back by the police guards after the court hearing. The shooter who was sitting near the canteen suddenly whipped out a pistol and opened fire at him.

The shooter was chased and caught by the policemen escorting the victim, police said, adding a country-made pistol has been seized from him.

This was the second shootout near the court complex. In April, a 38-year-old undertrial was shot dead there. [Source TOI]
