US President Donald Trump, at a campaign rally in Mississippi, on Tuesday openly mocked a university professor who has accused his Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

President Trump mocking Christine Blasey Ford was a striking change of tactic considering that just a few days ago he had called Ford testimony as “very credible”.

During the rally, President Trump joked about Blasey Ford’s inability to remember details surrounding the night of the alleged attack.

What neighborhood was it in?' I don't know. 'Where's the house?' I don't know. 'Upstairs, downstairs, where was it?' I don't know. But I had one beer. That's the only thing I remember,” Trump said, apparently re-enacting Ford’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“How did you get home?‘I don’t remember’,” Trump said, mocking Ford’s voice during his rally in Southaven.

“How did you get there?‘I don’t remember,’” Trump continued.

Trump concluded his speech at the rally by lamenting that Kavanaugh’s life was shattered. “A man’s life is in tatters,” he said.

“They want to destroy people. These are really evil people,” Trump said, apparently referring to Senate Democrats.

Ford testified that a drunken Kavanaugh pinned her on a bed, tried to strip her while holding a hand over her mouth and left her fearing for her life in the early 1980s, when the two were teenagers. However, Kavanaugh has denied the allegations made by Blasey Ford.
