Delhi Judicial Academy Shall Be Directly Under Administrative And Financial Control Of The Delhi High Court

The Delhi Judicial Academy, focusing at continuous judicial education of judges, now would be under the direct administrative and financial control of the Delhi High Court and its staff would be merged with that of the high court. A resolution was passed in the full court, Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and other judges of the high court adopted the recommendation of the Judicial Education and Training Programme Committee that the Delhi Judicial Academy shall function under the direct administrative and financial control of the Delhi High Court.

Therefore, all approvals shall be taken by the Delhi Judicial Academy from the Chief Justice by the Chairperson, (Prof (Dr) Mrinal Satish) of the Judicial Education and Training Programme Committee and the bills of the Delhi Judicial Academy will also be referred to the High Court of Delhi.

The staff of the academy will be consolidated with the high court's and the former would be at the lowest rank in seniority. The Delhi High Court Chief Justice serves as the Contributor-in-Chief of the Examination-cum-Judicial Education & Training Programme Committee of the Academy. Other members of the committee include Chairperson Justice GS Sistani and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw, Justice RK Gauba and Justice Pratibha M Singh as its members
