CBI informs Delhi High Court that Rohini Ashram Baba was last seen in Nepal

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on March 15 informed Delhi High Court bench comprising of acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Shri Hari Shankar that  self-proclaimed god-man Baba Virendra Dev Dixit who is acussed of running a sex racket  in his Ashram in Rohini in the garb of  spiritual teachings was last seen in Nepal on July 2.He was seen with Neelam D'Silva, wife of his long standing associate Deepak Anthony D'Silva.He is assuming different names and was identified with his picture only.

The high court which is hearing a plea about the allegations of sexual assault on women and minor girls at Rohini-based ashram Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidyalaya on listening to this asked CBI to file a status report in this regard.The court also questioned Dixit's counsel Amol Kokane about his whereabouts.To this he replied Baba does not stay in one place since he was falsely implicated in a rape case in 1998.The court also asked if locks and cages were being still used in the Ashram.

Earlier on February 5, the high court had issued a lookout notice against Dixit in regards to the same. The notice came after the court heard the arguments made by Dixit's lawyer.

The next date of hearing is on May 17.
