In a big win for President Donald Trump, Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as the US Supreme Court judge on Saturday just hours after the Senate confirmed Kavanaugh’s nomination by a vote of 50–48.

Kavanaugh’s confirmation ended one of the most bitter and partisan Supreme Court confirmation processes, in recent US history, following sexual misconduct allegations.

As Chief Justice John Roberts swore in Kavanaugh as the Supreme Court’s 114th justice during a private ceremony at the court, hundreds of protesters demonstrated loudly outside the court building.

And with House Democrats pledging to carry out further investigation of the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh if they win the majority in November, a few demonstrators climbed the east steps of the Capitol chanting “November is coming!” and “vote them out!”

Trump, however, mocked the anti-Kavanaugh protesters on Twitter.
