Just days after Supreme Court raised concerns regarding huge vacancies in subordinate judiciary and suggested conducting a one-time all-India level recruitment to fill up the vacant posts, Tamil Nadu has already completed its recruitment process for 225 civil judges even more quickly.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) had conducted the examination with the involvement of senior serving judges in two stages, including finalising question papers and conducting interviews.

The final results of the examination were declared on Wednesday, among which 222 candidates have been selected, however the fate of three candidates depends on “production and acceptance” of certain documents.

The number of successful male and female candidates selected for the TN Subordinate Judicial Service could not be ascertained, as the results contained only the roll number of candidates concerned.
